Each week we need about 60 Lion Packs filled with various food items to send home with students on Fridays.
60 bags is a lot for any one person to do, so we have divided up the volunteer slots to making 10 Lion Packs at a time. 10 Packs take about 30-45 minutes to make.
- All volunteers who wish to volunteer during school hours must be vaccinated and masked.
- All volunteers must complete a short training at www.voly.org.
WHEN: You can volunteer at these times: Mondays from 12pm-4pm, Tuesday - Thursday from 8am to 4pm. Lion Packs need to be completed by Thursday at 4pm (or Wednesday on the weeks where we are off on Friday.)
WHERE: First, go to the front office to sign-in and ask for the Peace Pantry key. At your first visit, you will be prompted to show your vaccination card. The Peace Pantry is located behind the library, in a locked space in the Teacher's lounge.
WHAT: Then you can make as many Lion Packs as you would like to sign up for in increments of 10. A Sample Pack will be ready by 12pm each Monday we need a packer. All food you will need is located on the shelves in the Peace Pantry space.
- Please ask at the front desk if any packages have arrived for the Peace Pantry. Unpack any boxes that have been delivered and stock the shelves with the new items.
- Break down boxes for recycling. There is a recycling dumpster for empty boxes on the north side of the building between the two playgrounds.
LIPSCOMB STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE TEACHERS' LOUNGE OR PEACE PANTRY ROOM.
