Good news: Volunteers are allowed into the Peace Pantry space at Lipscomb this year!
Bad news: Volunteers are only allowed in the building at 3:45 after school is out and all students have exited.
These circumstances may change because visitors are not allowed on campus during school hours as our county's COVID risk level is high. So if Dallas County changes the risk level, volunteers might be able to come during school hours. If that happens, we will let you know.
But if you can volunteer under these limited circumstances this year, we very much welcome it!
Since you will be volunteering on campus, you will need to complete DISD's volunteer application and background check through VOLY.
Lion Packs will be distributed to students on Fridays, so all packs must be completed by Thursday afternoon (the day you will be signing up for), but you may come at 3:45pm any day of the week before that and office staff will be available to let you in.
You will receive an email reminder a week before your chosen date, and once you arrive at the Peace Pantry, instructions for what to do will be there.
Thank you for volunteering!
