LHS Youth Services Center

The Lafayette Store

The Lafayette Youth Services Center (YSC) strives to remove food insecurity as a barrier to a child's education. To accomplish this during the uncertain times of COVID-19, the YSC will be offering weekly food bags. A rotating schedule of weekend bags and larger supplement bags will be distributed as long as virtual learning is a reality. 

Any food donations are greatly appreciated. Curbside food drop offs are preferred in the back parking lot (off Springhill Drive) at Doors 17C. Curbside is every Wednesday from 12:30-3:00 p.m. or on the following Saturdays from 10-Noon. Saturday dates are: 1/9, 1/30, 2/13, 2/27, 3/13, 3/27, 4/10, 4/24, and 5/8. If you have a large donation, please schedule a drop off time with me separately.

Clarifications:

     The Tuna/Chicken Box Meal can be a Tuna Helper type meal (tuna will come with the bag) but if you choose a chicken option please make sure everything that is needed for creating this meal comes in the box. No Hamburger Helper as I cannot provide hamburger meat.

     The Chef Boyardee Pizza maker has everything included in the box which helps with packing. If you wish to buy the items separately, please purchase pizza dough, pizza sauce, and maybe even some pepperoni. I have found that the Pizza box is a little cheaper.
