BADASS Beer Group

BADASS Meeting January 2020

Kick off another year of BADASS brewing at our annual joint meeting with the Brewers United for Real Potables (BURP) - https://www.burp.org/ - at the American Legion Post #268 in Wheaton.

BEER THEME: Belgian Ale Competition! (Register here! More info below.)

EDUCATION TOPIC: BJCP Cider Certification Process

As per usual for establishments with a liquor license, please DO NOT bring commercial beer. Also please bring your bottles and growlers of homebrew into the building in a paper or plastic bag.

Per BURP, "The general guideline for these meetings is bring more food than you can eat and more beer than you can drink." Sign up your homebrews, competition entries, and potluck style dishes below!

Details for the Belgian Ale Competition:

We’re kicking the year off with a Belgian Ale competition at the meeting. Any Belgian Ale style (categories 24, 25, or 26) will be accepted. This will be a BJCP judged competition, so you only need two 12oz bottles (or the equivalent) to enter. Attach a entry label to each bottle with a rubber band. To register, click here: Belgian Ale Competition.

Getting There Logistics

The post is a block from the Wheaton Metro station. If driving, please park in the county garage next door (it’s free) in lieu of using the Post’s parking lot. The entrance to the event space is on the side of the building towards the back--don’t use the main entrance.
