Sign up below for the course that meets your needs and happening at a venue and date convenient for you.  If you need information about any of these classes, please contact either:
Flotilla Staff Officer for public education, Mike Brough:  [email protected]
or Flotilla Commander, Debra Alderman:  [email protected]

We hold our classes at a variety of locations around the Seattle area.

Suddenly in Command
Our 2-hour classes feature our "Suddenly in Command" curriculum and are free of charge.  This class is geared to the "mate" who may not have a lot of boating experience or confidence but needs to know what to do in an emergency on board. For details on the class, visit this website
Note:  the June 20th class has been cancelled. Next class is July 18.

About Boating Safely
The 8-hour classes offered on Saturdays and Sundays feature a program known as "About Boating Safely."  This course qualifies all those who successfully complete it to get a Washington State Boater Education Card. It's open to ages 12 and up. The cost per person is $35 per person but we offer a discount for couples and families taking the class together and sharing a course book. If you would like to receive your course book ahead of time (which we highly recommend for students ages 12-18), you may mail us your course fee and we'll get your book to you!  Otherwise please plan to pay your course fee by check or cash on the morning of the class.  Checks may be made payable to "Flotilla 24". We generally send out class details about 7-10 days prior to the class date so please be sure to give us an email address that you check.

Occasionally we are invited to partner with a community organization such as the City of Bothell Parks and Recreation  who do all our registrations and collect the fees for a class.  This year we'll be offering a class at the Lytle House, a Bothell facility, on March 17th. If you'd like to sign up for that class, please visit this online registration form.

If you don't see a class below that meets your needs, please use this online search tool to find a class that's just right for you.
