TLC is proud to host volunteers on Monday January 18th for the MLK Day of Service at our Stateline Woods Preserve. This is a great opportunity to get out in nature and help us on the preserves. One of our specific needs at Stateline Wood Preserves is invasive plant removal which will help Stateline’s forests regenerate. Challenge yourself to get to the root of a multiflora rose bush, cut down vines or take it easy and safely pop a few burning bush saplings out of the ground. We will have another work party at our 200+ year old white oak tree that is one of Stateline Woods’ most beloved landmarks. No bucket too big or small to participate as we must hand-spread mushroom soil and then mulch to protect the roots. The invasive removal project starts at 9:00 AM, soil spreading and mulching starts at 11:00 AM. Masks mandatory. Meet our land managers at Stateline Woods, 843 Merrybell Lane, Kennett Square PA. Drive down the entrance lane and park in the meadow by the shed. Sign up so we can plan on the number of volunteers.
