During Earth Day the students created a garden to share not only in our school but also with people in need throughout our community. Our SAVE club is asking for help to upkeep our garden. If you could sign up for a week during the summer to weed and water the garden, as well as, drop off produce that you picked to the Keystone Opportunity Center in Souderton (100 Main Street) or The Shepard Shelf in Harleysville. Their drop off time is Monday -Wednessday 10am -2pm at Christ Lutheran Church.
The garden is located on the Peter Becker Side of Harleysville. We have weeding buckets, hoses and watering cans available to you when you arrive at Valley. If you could bring your own gardening tools that would be extremely helpful since we don't want to leave our tools out and expose them to the weather all summer. Plus, something to put the veggies in once you harvest the veggies.
If you could stop by 2 or 3 times during your week that would be great. I picked up a combination lock. The code is IVMS8. Not very creative but I had 1 and my husband guessed it right away!!!!
Thank you so much for all your help in making Valley Great and giving back to people in need in our community.
