EAS+Y Earth Action Month: Hard-to-Recycle Day

As part of EAS+Y Earth Action Month in April, we will be accepting hard-to-recycle items on Saturday, April 27th from 9-4pm at the Evergreen Lutheran Church. We will also be hosting a Zero Waste Refill Station.

We need volunteers to help guide traffic, help people drop off the correct recyclables, collect donations, help answer questions about EAS+Y and recycling, and possibly help with the Zero Waste Refill Station. We will be accepting the following items that day: 

  1. Large pieces of styrofoam (no peanuts please)
  2. Baby food pouches 
  3. GoGo squeeZ Tubes
  4. Used or unused candle wax (no glass)
  5. Used beauty products: Shampoo bottles and caps; Conditioner bottles and caps; Hair gel tubes and caps; Hair spray bottles and triggers; Hair paste plastic jars and caps; Lip balm tubes; Face soap dispensers and tubes; Lotion bottles, tubes, dispensers, and jars; Shaving foam tubes (no cans); Lip gloss tubes; Mascara tubes; Eye liner pencils and cases; Eye Shadow tubes; Concealer tubes and sticks
  6. Toothpaste tubes & toothbrushes 
  7. Nail polish and nail polish remover
  8. Mascara wands (separated from tubes)
  9. CDs & DVDS (no jewel cases please; CDs & DVDs can be whole or broken)
  10. Used markers
  11. Crayons
  12. Wine corks (cork only, no plastic)
  13. Eye Glasses
  14. Plastic Bags, Plastic Film, & Plastic Packaging Envelopes (Sticker removed - full plastic ones only - all plastic film, bags, and packaging must be clean)
  15. Printer ink & toner cartridges (intact, not broken/leaking)
  16. Household batteries - alkaline & rechargeable (no leaking or bubbling)
