2022 Cranberry Open and Cranberry Cup International

Join The Skating Club of Boston, August 9 – 14, 2022, for the 2022 Cranberry Open and Cranberry Cup International!

The Cranberry Open is the only New England competition that has been selected as part of the 2023 National Qualifying Series. The Club is expecting more than 250 competitors in well balanced events.

The Cranberry Cup is in its second year and is an invite-only international competition for junior and senior competitors.

GENERAL VOLUNTEER POLICIES

The following policies are in place and expected to be followed by all volunteers.

Availability – Please do not sign up for a shift if you know you’re going to be more than 30 minutes late or if you have to leave more than 30 minutes before the end of the shift. (i.e. shift is 2:00 – 6:00 pm and you sign up and submit a note that you are only available 3:00 – 5:00 pm).  If your availability does not match the shifts as they are scheduled, please email the hours that you are available to [email protected].

Commitment - Please arrive on time to allow for check-in and credentialing.  Notify the Volunteer Coordinator or a member of the Events Team if you are unable to fulfill your commitment or are running late.

Age Requirements - The age requirement to volunteer at the Cranberry Open and Cranberry Cup International is 14 years or older. Parent Volunteers: Please do not sign up to volunteer and bring your child with you if they are not age-eligible to volunteer at the event. Children will need tickets to enter the building and will not be permitted to enter the credential-only areas of the building where you will be working.

Dress Code - All volunteers are expected to dress appropriately and professionally for work in any arena.  Please wear Club apparel if possible, closed-toed, comfortable shoes and bring a jacket. Crop tops, flip-flops, shorts and/or tank tops are NOT permitted. 

Other - Please eat prior to your shift.  Volunteers working consecutive shifts may receive meals depending on the event but there will only light snacks for other volunteers (this may vary by event.

SkateSafe (formerly SafeSport) - Specific roles at a competition or event may require a volunteer to be fully compliant which includes SkateSafe and a background check.  The volunteer will be responsible for any fees associated with the background check.
