Exploring Christian Symbolism in HC Anderson Stories

Come join us for discussion of HC Andersen’s eventyren: children’s stories about life, faith, and philosophy! This will be a six-week study meeting via Zoom on Monday evenings, beginning April 12 and concluding on May 17, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. We’ll read one short story a week with emphasis on Christian themes and symbols to see the deeper meaning behind both classic tales and the lesser-known fables. All reading material will be provided for free. Please sign-up so that we can send you the reading material each week. 

Our readings will take us to far off lands through time and space with action, peril, and surprises that will challenge your perceptions and get you thinking beyond what you’ve seen in the Disney versions. No prior reading of HC Andersen is required; all adults and teens are welcome. (No children please – mature topics will be discussed.)
