Westminster Room In The Inn
ROOM IN THE INN
2018-2019 Breakfast/Lunch Volunteer Duties
We usually serve about 17 people for breakfast, including our RITI guests and hosts.
? WPC provides small boxes of cereal and coffee.
? Breakfast volunteers will need to purchase:
___ 1 gallon of milk
___ 1 gallon of orange juice
___ Full-sized muffin – INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED
___ “Portable” fruit such as bananas, grapes, or oranges. (No apples, please. A lot of our guests have sensitive teeth.)
Please put these items in Goodpasture Kitchen on your Wednesday during church office hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) The overnight hosts will set up the breakfast meal.
We need sack lunches for 14 hungry people. Our RITI Guests and Hosts have breakfast with us at the church, but the sack lunch is something for the guests to carry into the day ahead! In case a guest cannot eat meat, an extra peanut butter sandwich or two is appreciated. A nice sack lunch might include: two hearty sandwiches or two pieces of cold fried chicken, and some chips and cookies. You may also consider including items like applesauce, grapes, a hard-boiled egg, small pieces of candy (like peppermints or Hershey's kisses). The overnight hosts will distribute to the guests any leftover fruit from breakfast. Please include a napkin and any necessary plastic utensils, and pack the lunches in plastic grocery sacks. They may not be very environmental, but they are highly preferred by our guests who reuse them to tote their belongings.
What would you like to find in your lunch bag?
Please put the sack lunches in a box or big bags, marked “ROOM IN THE INN” and put it in Goodpasture Kitchen on (your) Wednesday. YOU ARE APPRECIATED!
NOTE: There should be no eating or drinking in the Westminster kitchens.
