Hills of Milk and Honey - An Educational Farm (Dripping Springs)
Hills of Milk and Honey is an educational farm focused on regenerative agriculture in Dripping Springs, Texas offering camps, classes, tours, workshops, field trips, and AirBnB stays!
We raise dairy goats, laying chickens, meat chickens, rabbits, honey bees, and we have the BEST livestock guardian dogs in our neck of the woods! We also enjoying growing vegetables, fruits and nuts in our teaching gardens. We focus on healing the soil so that it will, in turn, provide nutrient-dense food for our livestock, our family, and our community.
We bought our land in December of 2016 and launched the educational farm soon thereafter. We've been ramping up quickly and enjoy getting the community involved. When volunteers offer their time, they often find themselves creating garden beds, mucking animal stalls, cleaning and sanitizing feed and water buckets, and generally assisting us with routine farm tasks. However, from time to time, we have special projects that could use some extra hands, like building a greenhouse, building fences, or even helping prepare materials for camps and classes.
Adults: If you would like to get a workout in while helping out your local farmer, sign up for as many spots as you'd like. We have fun, and get work done! Please check age requirements for volunteer slots.
Teens and Young Adults: We sign off for service hours for age 16+ high school and college students, so be sure to bring your forms with you.
Children: Although children are not able to volunteer for these time slots, we have created family work days once a quarter where families may come to the farm and help out with quarterly projects to be announced. This is not a drop off program for children, but it is a way for entire families to serve the community together. Please see the family volunteer link for dates and registration details.
We will add spring time slots closer to the end of the year, so check back often. And, visit https://hillsofmilkandhoney.com to find out more about all of our upcoming events.
REQUIRED: A signed liability waiver will be required before you may volunteer. Waivers are available at the farm and can be filled out upon arrival. However, if you are under 18, you must have a parent sign the waiver and bring it with you, so please email [email protected] and request a waiver in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: We understand things come up, so if you are unable to arrive during your chosen scheduled time, please be sure to edit your registration to open up the spot for another volunteer.
