West Newbury Open Space Committee
The West Newbury Open Space Committee invites you to a series of Bicentennial Events Celebrating Four Seasons on West Newbury Trails. The first in the series are two naturalist-led walks to the Withers and Riverbend Conservation Areas that will focus on birds and birdsong, trees, shrubs, emerging plants, mammal signs, and whatever comes our way. The spring walks will be led by Carol Decker, former Director of Mass Audubon's Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary and Deb Hamilton, world-traveler and naturalist extraordinaire! Trails may be muddy, so waterproof boots are recommended. Bring binoculars if you have them. For these walks, please leave your pets at home.
Walks are from 9:00AM - 10:30AM
April 25 - Withers Conservation Area
April 27 - Riverbend Trail
May 2 - Riverbend Trail
May 4 - Withers Conservation Area
Walks are free, but due to limited space, registration will be required and limited to 25 people per walk. Please register only two (2) persons per email address to ensure room for interested parties. Instructions for parking, meeting places, and any change in walk dates will be sent to the e-mail address provided during registration.
