SHERWOOD PARK ROTARY CLUB
You are cordially invited to be an enthusiastic participant in a very rewarding experience of packaging meals to be enjoyed by well-deserved people. Together with your help, we hope to reach and surpass our goal of packaging 75,000 meals Please consider bringing an item for our local food bank so we can extend a hand of fellowship to the hungry within our community as well.
The meal packaging takes place on September 17, 2022 in the basement at the OLPH Catholic Church located at 13 Brower Drive Sherwood Park. Approximately 180 volunteers (90 people per shift) from ages 6 and up are needed to help package the meals in an assembly line fashion. It is a fun way to spend time with friends and family for a wonderful cause. We have 2 shifts that you can choose to attend: The 1st shift is from 9:00 am to12:00pm while the second shift is from 1:00 p.m. -4:00pm. Help will also be needed for cleanup from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m.
Your involvement in this selfless endeavour will go a long way in changing someone's life and making our community a better place. The recipients from your last meal packaging event in 2020 were:
1. Edmonton Inner City Soup Kitchens-
2. Northern Canada remote communities-
