PVA Staff will be doing training the first friday of every month. PVA will need parent volunteers to help during arrival in the cafeteria, bus line and front desk in their absence. Below is more specific instructions.
Car Line: Greet Students. Assist students getting out of cars. Open doors, direct students into cafeteria. All students should get out of cars on the passenger side of the vehicle. Watch for adults/students at crosswalk. Pull cars all the way forward to the sign before unloading.
Cafeteria: Greet students coming in from car line. Ask them to sit with their grade level section. Monitor.
Bus Loop and Bus Loop Doors. 7:55 am- You can greet first buses and unload one bus at a time. “A” run buses only. 16A, 264A, 164A, and 145A. Students walk to Breeze way and wait for 8:05 bell to ring. No crowding by double doors, keep plenty of space. Greet students walking up from Bridge to stand at the Breeze Way as well.
Front Office: Greet visitors. Ask them to wait for us if they are there for a meeting or to volunteer. Subs can wait for us to get back to front office at 8:00 am. Answer phones and take messages. Open door to visitors.
If you are in positions by 7:50 am, we should be great! PVA staff will relieve you by 8:00/8:10 am.
Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your shift.
Please ensure you are approved to access the school. School access clearance is required for every individual that is not a staff member of the St. Johns County School District. Complete the School Access Form by going to https://stjohns.keepntrack.com/apply. Two (2) weeks after submission of the form, contact the front office to check your status.
