Thank you for signing up for Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 School Year! We look forward to sitting down with you to register your child for the Fall!
Below please find information that may help with the process:
- Scheduling: We are offering registration on Friday afternoons in May from 1:45-2:45. We've asked parents to schedule slots to help avoid a rush at any one time. We'll do our best to stay on schedule, but we ask for your patience just in case we run a bit behind. We'll also do our best to be as understanding as possible regarding your needs. You should expect the process to take about an hour.
- Please bring your child: We ask that you attend with your child because during the time you are working on the paperwork, one of our Kindergarten teachers will briefly work with your child to obtain a quick and high level understanding of their ability to separate from you (and you from them), as well as basic school readiness. This is not a test and there is no right or wrong way for students to engage with the teacher at this developmental stage. Our goal is to simply gather information that assists us in creating classrooms that represent all learners and for us to plan supports for the first day of school. If you are interested in seeing what Kindergarten screenings may look like, please read this article or watch this video.
- Your paperwork is key: You must bring the required documentation listed below to register. Should you not be able to provide documentation, your registration may be started, but not completed until all is received.
We look forward to building a wonderful relationship with you and your child and we are deeply honored that your family will be part of our learning community. You'll be receiving additional information in the coming months to support your child's transition to Kindergarten. Should you have questions in advance of the registration, please do not hesitate to reach out.
