PigFest is right around the corner and it is time to secure our volunteers for parking shifts! A large portion of our programming funds throughout the year come from the money we raise from coordinating parking for PigFest. Your volunteer hours are greatly appreciated and essential to the success of Camp Fire. Over the last four years, we have raised nearly $146,000!!!
As a Camp Fire volunteer, you will be directing cars as they enter the grounds and helping make sure the parking lots are well organized and run efficiently. The atmosphere is fast paced and busy, yet fun. You will be outside and on your feet in varying weather conditions, so we ask that you come prepared with comfortable footwear and appropriate clothing for the day/night.
Parking volunteers must be at least 16 years old. As per PigFest rules, all teens MUST have a waiver signed by a parent, or they will NOT be allowed to volunteer. The waiver may be printed off here: Teen Waiver
Our board members and staff are hard at work to make sure your experience during these parking shifts is enjoyable. We have a dedicated hospitality team in place to provide snacks, water, and bathroom breaks. Camp Fire volunteers will even receive a dump cake voucher to redeem at the festival, so that you can not only work, but also take time to play.
Please be on the lookout for a confirmation email the week of or the week prior to the event. This will contain information essential to your duties the day/night of your shift, including your parking pass. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Camp Fire at 863-688-5491 or [email protected]
