NC Buddhist Vihara
Vesak Poya Day Program 2019
Dear Devotees and Friends;
Vesak is a Buddhist festival celebrated in the month of May to commemorate Buddha’s Birth, Enlightenment (Buddhahood), and death (Parinirvana). This year, the Vesak ceremony is held on Saturday, May 18th at the NC Buddhist Vihara, throughout the day. Unveiling of newly placed Buddha statues is the most meritorious act in this year’s Vesak celebration. We highly appreciate Bikkhuni Susila from California (Vietnamese) for donating us those marbled Buddha statues. We respectfully invited Vietnamese monks at the North Raleigh temple to participate the event of the unveiling statues and Dana.
We kindly invite you, your family members, friends and well-wishers join with us this auspice unveiling the statues and other events of the Vesak celebration.. Please encourage your children to observe the Eight Precepts and take part in the children’s Vesak day activities.
Please check temple website to sign up for Vesak day celebration and other related meritorious activities of the day (http://ncbuddhisttemple.org)
Your participation, support, and donations are greatly appreciated to make this event a success.
