United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg
Description | Join United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg and the Children’s Museum of Richmond (CMoR) Book Bank to increase access to free books for all community members through a restock of Little Free Libraries! United Way volunteers will pick up boxes of donated books at the curbside of CMoR; load up their personal vehicle; and deliver the books to a United Way-supported Little Free Library in our service area.
This is also a great opportunity to learn a bit more about community services available in our region, and feel free to gather your family or a couple friends to do this resource delivery together! Only one vehicle is needed per route. You can also bring along your own batch of donated books to contribute as well.
- Be over the age of 18 (or be a minor with a supervising adult)
- Drive their own vehicle
- Bring a cellphone to communicate with United Way day-of
- Wear a face covering when picking up and restocking/delivering
- Agree to sign a volunteer liability waiver and follow COVID-19 protocols
