Listen to your Mother Northwest Indiana 2019
Listen to your Mother 2019!
Hobart, Indiana and NWI are giving motherhood a microphone!
We want the happy, the sad, the beautiful, the ugly, the funny, and the scary.
We want (or want you to tell us about) moms, step-moms, puppy moms, daughters, mentors, mother figures, birth moms, adoptive and foster moms, moms of children with special needs or illness, someone who has always wanted or never wanted to be a mother, new mothers or empty nesters. Adult children, husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, and mentees are welcome to tell us stories about their mothers, mother figures, wives, sisters, and friends.
We welcome people of all races, religions, sexual orientations and identifications as well as those with little to no public speaking experience or a plethora of performance under their belt.
We want your stories, spoken word, poetry, songs, and stand-up comedy. We want you by yourself or in tandem with the other person who shared the experience. We want your authentic and original experiences, but most of all we want you to share your story about MOTHERHOOD with us!
We want you to audition!
Submissions are limited to 3-5 minutes in length (7 minutes for tandem acts) and be original material that you have authorization to perform in this show. See the Listen to your Mother channel on YouTube for inspiration. Please sign up for an audtion slot via SIGN UP GENIUS and send a copy of your piece to [email protected] RE: LTYM Submission
We may want to edit your work in order to fit you into the show compromised of 10-14 cast members. You need not reside in NWI to participate. In the past we’ve had performers from Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan as well.
