CJC provides dinner for the 51 residents of the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center in Columbia on the fourth Sunday of every month. The meal consists of one main course, two side dishes and dessert. Cooking is split between a few families each month. Participants decide what they want to make once the family making the main course chooses a dish. Volunteers prepare food at home and deliver it to the shelter on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
I will send reminders a week or two ahead and help coordinate the monthly meal. Please feel free to email me with any questions.
