Who can deliver a pitch?
The contest is open to sophomore, junior and senior level business administration and software engineering majors.
How many students can pitch?
There are 39 spaces available and once it’s full, it’s full.
What is a pitch?
A pitch is your brief personal introduction (30-60 seconds) that tells someone who you are, what makes you unique, and how you can benefit them. It’s intended to open opportunities for further discussion on networking and possible job opportunities.
How do I create a pitch?
There are several resources to help you craft your pitch – the Pitch Contest website, Career Services, business websites/resources, YouTube videos, etc.
Who will be judging the contest?
We will have a variety of professionals (3-4) who evaluate business pitches and job candidate pitches judging the contest. Judges feedback will be available for students after the pitch contest concludes and winners are determined.
What happens if I win?
Winning students will be notified within one day of the pitch contest. The three winners will then deliver their pitches to kick-off Networking Night, Wednesday, February 20th at 5:30PM in Kepner Hall – this is also when they will learn if they were 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place and their scholarship award amount.
