Sign up to volunteer on Saturday, January 5, 2019 (prepare and/or serve food) - St. Paul's Men's Shelter Paterson.
Welcome to the B'nai Keshet and Islamic Center of Passaic County (ICPC) signup for the St. Paul's Men's Shelter in Paterson, NJ! Thank you for visiting our joint site. The ICPC and B'nai Keshet communities (and friends!) volunteer the first Saturday of each month to prepare food at home, drop off these food donations in Montclair or Paterson and serve dinner to the guests of the St. Paul's Men's Shelter in Paterson.
Please see the on-line sign up sheet (below) to sign up to prepare food donations at home, serve meals or donate canned and boxed food to the guests of the St. Paul's Men's Shelter. The directions for dropping food off in either Montclair or Paterson are:
Food donations can be dropped off directly in Paterson at St. Paul's the first Saturday of each month between the hours of 5:00 and 5:30. St. Paul's is located at 451 Van Houten Street (corner of East 18th Street and Broadway) in Paterson. (The parking lot is accessible from either Broadway or Van Houten.)
Food donations from Montclair and nearby towns can be dropped off at the home of Penny and Mitchell Arons the first Saturday of each month between the hours of 3:30 and 5:00 at: 8 Melrose Place (between Harrison Avenue and Orange Road) Montclair. Please leave food donations on the enclosed front screen porch.
****We also need one volunteer from Montclair or a nearby town to pick up the food donations from the Arons residence at 5:15 and bring them to the St. Paul's Shelter by 5:45 the first Saturday of each month.
If you would like to contribute to the St. Paul's Men's Shelter but cannot prepare or serve food you may also donate boxed and canned food for the food pantry which serves 100 clients a day in Paterson.
