St Thomas the Apostle Episcopal
Please review our regathering policies below, check the available slots below, and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!
In accordance with CDC guidelines, those in high-risk categories, including people over age 65, are encouraged to continue to worship from home; we will live stream the 10.30 service each Sunday on our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/sttaec) and it will be available to watch as a recording thereafter.
We know that all do not feel comfortable re-gathering for worship and that we might need to experiment with the number of services we offer. Please be patience, honor yourself, and know that our web presence will continue.
Services will be held at 8 and 10.30 am each Sunday and are to be limited to 36 or fewer persons; please use Signup genius to RSVP for worship so we can stay within CDC compliant sizing by clicking on the following link:
Reminder to practice social distancing: in the parking lot, coming in, and leaving the sanctuary. 6 foot intervals have been marked on the pews. We are asking that only residents of the same household sit together.
Pews will be disinfected after each service.
Reminder to wear a mask at all times; we have extras up front at the greeter’s station in case you need or forget one.
Bathrooms are open, but please use for emergencies only and please let a vestry person or Mike know if a restroom has been used so it can be cleaned.
Communion will be bread-only and received in socially distanced lines while standing.
Collection plates will be in the narthex and not passed.
YouTube and Zoom meetings continue unabated!
Congregational singing is not permitted at present, though 10.30 will feature music, instrumental and vocal.
We will not initially be providing coffee or donuts and church doors will not be opened until 7.40 AM.
Initially we will be removing the nametag board.
Our nursery and Godly Play hope to recommence later in the summer or early Fall. As always, children (silent or not!) are welcome in services.
Our HVAC systems have been outfitted with UV filtration to help sanitize air and 4 touchless hand sanitizer stations have been added to Brumley Hall and the Narthex.
Please sign up for Sunday services no more than every other week as we ease into resuming services, both as a health best-practice and to allow access.
Please let Mike know ASAP if you or a member of your household develops COVID symptoms/tests positively for COVID.
