St. Paul's Food Pantry
Please volunteer to distribute food to our food-insecure neighbors! We now distribute food every Saturday, generally providing pre-packaged bags of food on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays and boxes of food from the Capitol Area Food Bank on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. (If there is a 5th Saturday, we do not distribute that day.)
We practice social distancing by only having 2 volunteers at a time inside the portico each Saturday (exceptions made for families), with masks and plenty of hand sanitizer. Bags are given to the patrons outside (they do not come into the church building).
If you are volunteering as a family, please select both available slots for that Saturday. If you are a new volunteer, we would be happy to show you the ropes at the beginning of your first volunteer shift. We begin distribution at 9 am and end at noon. (Our advertised hours are 10 am--noon, but this helps keep patrons socially distantanced.)
NEW: We are now looking for folks who are willing to pack bags on before the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. Please note that slots show "1pm--3 pm" on Thursdays. Bags can be packed at ANY time (day or evening) as long as it's done between the time the Food Pantry food is delivered on Wednesday and the start of the Food Pantry at 9 am on Saturday.
