Thank you for volunteering for Operation Sandwich for Roof Above. We are asking families/individuals to make 25 sandwiches each and bring them to Covenant Presbyterian Church on the your assigned day. We will be in the circle drive in front of the Sanctuary building from 10 - 10:30 am to collect and then deliver directly to Roof Above for lunch that day. Below are the guidelines for making the sandwiches. Feel free to contact Lucy Crain with any questions.
You may also sign up to provide water bottles and/or help us deliver the sandwiches to Roof Above.
Sandwich Guidelines: Use white bread, no heels please. For meat sandwiches use ham, turkey, roast beef or bologna. We are looking to serve hearty sandwiches. Neighbors also like a slice of cheese on their sandwiches. No mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce or tomato on the sandwiches. It is ideal to put sandwiches in in individual baggies. Feel free to use the least expensive sandwich bags - no need for zip locks. You can stack the assembled sandwiches inside the bread bag.
Please note that we now have eco-friendly paper sandwich bags located at the Mission and Outreach shelves in the Welcome Center. You are welcome to take as many as you need. If you cannot locate them, please email Sally Jackson at [email protected]
