Joshua House is a safe haven for abused, abandoned, and neglected children which offers a therapeutic residential group care program that provides a protected, nurturing, family-like environment for children six - seventeen. These children have been removed from their homes due to crisis and many have been through multiple foster homes.
Friends of Joshua House Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization of concerned individuals that have dedicated themselves to developing resources to improve the quality of life for the children of Joshua House. Acting as the fund raising arm of this fine program, Friends of Joshua House Foundation raises resources, develops solutions and supports our community's most vulnerable citizens...its children.
Volunteers are needed for different shifts and tasks throughout the day. Additional details will be sent to volunteers closer to the event date.
Volunteers must be 12 years old or older. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent. Responsible teens aged 14 and older may volunteer without a parent but must have a permission form signed from a parent or guardian. (Form will be sent to all volunteers prior to the event). So that we can properly staff and manage the event, volunteers must reserve a slot on the SignUp Genius site prior to the event.
Volunteers who help the day of the event (9/15) will receive a t-shirt and lunch, dinner, and/or refreshments throughout their shift.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
