Due to the cornoavirus situation, there are changes in the procedure for providing dinners.
Food must be taken to the administration building (2925 E. State Blvd) rather than the adjoining house. JNIHN staff will take the food to the house and set it up for the residents. Please be sure all foods are in disposable containers.
You may drop off the food anytime on your chosen day before 5 PM.
It has become necessarey for JNIHN to limit the number of families at the shelter in order to reduce the health risk to the families and staff. Plan to provide a meal for 10 to 15 people (at least half of which are usually children). Exact numbers will be provided as the dates draw closer. We will try to contact you as soon as those numbers are available.
You are welcome to take a whole meal by yourself or partner with someone and coordinate your meal together. You may also reach out to local restaurants to see if they would offer special pricing for meals for this worthy cause. If you use a restaurant, you would still be responsible for ensuring delivery of the meal to JNIHN.
Drinks, tableware and napkins will be provided. If you need help delivering food or have any questions contact Sherry Avery at (260) 580-2214 or [email protected]
