Erin School Community Garden
Hello Erin Families! We have planted our school garden in the raised beds on the east side of the building. In order to sustain the vegetable growth throughout the summer months, we are asking for your help! If you are able to give some of your time this summer to weeding the garden, that would be wonderful!
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Please bring your own weeding tools and bags to put the weeds. There are compost bins near the middle school playground where the weeds can be tossed. Growing vegetables and getting your hands in the soil is a great bonding opportunity for families. Any help you are able to offer is wonderful!!
Each bed is labeled, but here is the order of what is planted so you have a visual picture (from the bed closest to the office). The way they are named is the way they are planted in rows...
*Onion, Sedum, Onion
*Carrots, Lavendar, Carrots
*Cauliflower, Asparagus, Cauliflower
[The wall behind the beds is planted with daylilies and sunflowers.]
Feel free to reap the harvest as you weed! The community garden is for all to enjoy!
