Stafford County Branch NAACP

NAACP Standing Committee Interest

Greetings Stafford County Branch NAACP Members.

I am honored to serve as your President for the next two years, and as I start to build my Executive Team, I am reaching out to each of you for help with filling critical committee positions within the Branch.   I am looking for dedicated, hard-working and committed individuals such as yourself to join me in bringing my vision to life.  As I shared with you, some of my goals for our Branch are to build coalitions with all faith-based organizations in the area; increase our membership (across all ages); advocate for economic development, education, health and the elimination of social and racial disparities against peoples of color.

Within this survey are a list of standing committees and other positions that need to be filled in the short term.  I am asking that you let me know which committee(s)/positions you are interested in serving on/in by taking take a few minutes to complete this survey.  Once I have the results, I will be better able to place individuals where their interests lie.  I would like to see at least 3 members on each standing committee, and encourage you to sign up for several of the committees.  Please keep in mind that these are standing committees and do not include any special committees that may be formed later.

I have included a short description of the duties of the standing committees, as well as the duties for certain positions.  For the full description of the committee duties, I would encourage you to review the NAACP Bylaws and Constitution at https://www.naacp.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/2014_Bylaws_for_Units.pdf.

Thank you in advance for your support.

With gratitude,

Joshua
