Become a Water Monitoring Warrior! - Learn how to test our local waters from Fairfield’s Water Challenge Ambassador, Claire Cohenuram. Claire is a member of EarthEcho Youth Corp which, in conjunction with Mill River Wetland Committee has developed a plan to monitor and document water quality in the Rooster and Mill Rivers as they move through Fairfield. Learn how to test local waters, discover the benefit of water monitoring and get involved in a long term environmental project.
We are looking for individuals or families that:
- are enthusiastic about tracking the health of our local waters
- can devote time to learn monitoring and then take readings at one of the locations 4 times per year
- will log the information so that we can interpret the data over time.
While entire families are encouraged to participate, in order to maintain in-person activity numbers, we ask that no more than 2 family members to attend training together. This will allow us to train more people in person. Training is also available via zoom on 9/23 or on a recorded video.
This sign up is for the In Person Event. Social Distancing and masks will be required at this outdoor training (rain or shine.)
