Trinity Lutheran Church
The leaders of this study seek to undertake a deeper, more creative and intentional approach with the aim of building a faith community in the service of God and Gospel. Our new format will include (1) coming together to pray, (2) sharing a meal, (3) participating in holy conversations inspired by pertinent reading materials (including the Bible, church documents, and theological books and articles addressing contemporary advocacy issues), and, finally, (4) committing to take specific, meaningful actions together on dedicated justice issues. All are welcome! This event series will be held once a month in the Parish Hall. We hope to initiate this new format after Easter, and we are also working toward planning dates and times where more individuals and families with children might feel comfortable. As many of you are aware, Trinity is working with Jewish Family and Child Services (JFCS) to support us as we prepare to adopt a refugee family. Therefore, our first topic of our new study will be centered on immigration. This issue offers many exciting service opportunities for parents, children, and teens. When we serve others, lives are changed, beginning with ourselves. Please make room on your schedule and join us!
