Meet an Academic Skills Adviser one-on-one for advice on academic skills.
Appointments are available from Week 2 to SWOT VAC.
If you are unable to attend, please cancel the appointment by 5pm on Friday. This is because tutors still need to be paid in the event of a cancellation after this time. If an awardee cancels outside the agreed timeframe, the Australia Awards team must report to DFAT inappropriate use of the SAS entitlement.
Cancel online, or via email to [email protected], with [email protected] in copy.
If you've already used SAS for other services in the current semester, email [email protected] when you make your booking. We'll let you know if that semester's SAS balance can't cover the cost of your Academic Skills appointment.
Bring along a hard copy of your work, the task instructions and the assessment criteria.
- Why see an Academic Skills adviser?
An adviser can help you:
- develop skills such as academic writing, referencing, English language development, revision strategies and time management.
- identify where you can improve, discuss improvement strategies, and refer you to relevant resources.
Advisers cannot be booked for proofreading, take-home exam course advice or IT questions.
