Bransford Elementary School PTA

Laps for Learning 2018

Bransford's biggest fundraiser of the year, Laps for Learning, is scheduled for September 28th!  As one of our largest events, volunteers are vital to make it a fun and successful event.

Students will be collecting donations and turning them in each day leading up to September 28th.  At the event, students will run laps to raise money for BES.  It is a fantastic event that promotes health and fitness, while also supporting BES.

PreK-2nd grades will race and celebrate from 8:30AM-9:15AM.  Third-5th grades will race and celebrate from 9:30AM-10:15AM.

If you cannot volunteer, you are still welcome to watch and cheer on the runners!  It’s a very fun day for our students.  Please support this event any way you can.

A few notes about the event:

  1. The event is scheduled to take place at the back of the school in the event field.  In the event of inclement weather, students will run in the cafeteria and the schedule will be adjusted to accommodate the space.  Please be flexible should we have to move the event indoors.
  2. This year, students will wear their class-level t-shirts with running bibs (similar to 5ks/marathons).  Those volunteering as lap markers will keep track of how many laps our students run by placing marks on the bibs.
  3. Volunteers at the water stands will fill and distribute cups to keep the runners hydrated.

PLEASE COME TO THE VOLUNTEER TABLE (LOCATED ON THE EVENT FIELD OR CAFETERIA IF INCLEMENT WEATHER) TO CHECK IN AND GET INSTRUCTIONS ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

Manjiri Joshi is graciously serving as the Laps for Learning Chair should you have more questions about the event. ([email protected])

Thank you for all of your support!
