Pickerington Food Pantry
The pantry is asking for your help as we distribute boxed food items to those in need during the COVID-19 emergency. Please only sign-up if you are willing and able to help pack boxes, and can lift the 40lb boxes and place them in client vehicles.
The health and well-being of our customers, volunteers and staff are top priorities for us. To that end and due to the most recent issued Stay at Home Order, the Pantry will limit the number of volunteers, their amount of time at the pantry, and appropriately distance them while they assist us in getting food to those in need.
We will also restrict box distribution to clients from 10:30AM to 11:30AM on Thursday and Saturdays only. It is imperative for clients to be in line to receive food within the published times. Our volunteers will not be retained at the pantry waiting for clients to arrive.
Clients are reminded we are operating under a pre-packaged box model. Clients will not be permitted to shop/select items. Upon arrival to the pantry, please proceed down the alley in an orderly fashion to the back garage area (similar to Holiday Basket distribution). Clients need to remain in their vehicle. Clients will be asked for their name, and registration will be completed by a volunteer for them. Clients do not need to hand volunteers proof of residency information.
