This year is again a little different at the school gardens. We are planting five gardens as community gardens and will be harvesting the produce for local food pantries and the summer lunch programs. We will be planting some of the school gardens as pollinator gardens. We ask that you sign up to water and weed the garden adhering to the policies listed below. Indian Brook Elementary School Garden has been planted as a pollinator garden. Plants like, nasturtium, comos, zinnias and lots of sun flowers have been planted to attract and feed the bees and butterflies. Please water deeply once a week and deadhead any of the flowers. Thank you in advance for your help and community spirit!
By signing up to volunteer you acknowledge that you understand and will adhere to the 2021 policies listed below:
When school is in session please plan to arrive at the garden after 4:00 p.m.
Adhere to the schedule of the week(s) you have signed up for.
Please wear face masks if you are not able to socially distance and are not vaccinated.
Please bring your own hand tools and garden gloves.
Please sanitize any other surfaces you may have touched while in the garden: the hose, water key, etc.
There will be an optional garden volunteer training on June 12, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the PCIS garden located at 117 Long Pond Road, Plymouth, MA
