Palouse Teen Council
Hello! We are the Palouse Teen Council, a peer-led sex education group of high schoolers. We serve all of Whitman county, going around to our peers and presenting on a range of topics from healthy relationships, self-esteem and boundaries to STDs and birth control. We meet once a week in room 306 in the Gladish community center from 5:30pm to 8:00pm (Alternativing Mondays and Tuesdays) and ask that our dinners may be brought by about 5:20pm, to have a little time to set up and prepare. You are welcome to sit down and join us for the meal, too!
We have 12 members in total, with three vegetarians. It is recommended that there be a smaller, separate portion of the meal with vegetarian options, and if that is something you are unable to meet, please let us know. A lot of what we like to eat include pastas (like lasagne and macaroni), salads, create-your-own tacos or burritos (could be adapted to a baked potato bar, or create-your-own sandwiches.) Please feel free to bring us your favorite recipes, and don't shy away from baked goods or fruits and veggies.
If you're unable to provide a pre-cooked meal but would still like to support us, you're welcome to make a monetary donation for us to order food. Checks may be written to "Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse" with 'Palouse Teen Council' written on the note line. (Suggested donation - $30).
