Thank you SO much for helping with this year's Mindful Memorial Day! We're looking forward to our *6th* year of honoring fallen veterans at Arlington National Cemetery this Memorial Day weekend and couldn't make it happen without you.
The first step is creating our living memorial on Sunday 19 May 2019 by hanging a yellow ribbon representing each service member who has died in theater since September 11, 2001.
We are up to 6,958 fallen.
All supplies will be provided, we just need YOU to help cut ribbon, staple cards and deliver the assembled ribbons to people on ladders for hanging.
The following Memorial Day weekend we'll have multiple opportunities for volunteers. Engaging with the public to offer mindful moments of gratitude for the fallen, visiting grave sites to make Honor Visits and participating in Monday's Compassion Walk are all ways you can help Mindful Memorial Day fulfill it's mission of mindfully honoring our nation's fallen.
Please visit our website www.mindfulmemorialday.org to see pictures and get more information about our mission.
Parking is available at the cemetery ($2/hour), though to avoid traffic we recommend Metro. When you get off at the Arlington Cemetery stop (on the blue line) make your way up to street level. Memorial Bridge and the Lincoln Memorial will be to your left, Arlington and the Women's Memorial will be to your right.
