2019 marks the 31st Weigand Construction Duck Race to Benefit SCAN. On May 1, 2019 we kicked off the event and in just 7 short weeks we will sell more than 19,000 ducks with the help of volunteers, local businesses, staff, and our many community events. On the evening of June 15th, hundreds of people will come to Johnny Appleseed Park and the Fort Wayne Turners Clubhouse for fun and games and to watch the plastic ducks splash into the St. Joseph River and “paddle” their way to the finish line!
Each plastic duck represents a raffle number and the top 25 ducks will win cash and prizes. Proceeds from the event will support SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect) in its many programs that support our mission to protect children, prepare parents, strengthen families, and educate our community to Stop Child Abuse and Neglect. Our 2019 goal is to raise more than $231,000!
By volunteering at the event you can help us to reach our goals and have fun in the process!
