Putting on a great event requires a lot of help! There are a variety of volunteer opportunities at the 5K for FA for people of all ages.

Face Painting (2)

Must be 13 or older. Please bring your own supplies. Temporary tattoos for kids will also be available.

Must be 18 or older. Sell tickets, collect money, count money.

 

Snack Committee (2)

Help set up snacks for race participants and clean up after. Keep kids away from snack tables, as snacks are for the participants.

Stick around after the event and help break down equipment, load things, take down signs, clean up trash, put things back where they go.

Must be 16+. Capture action shots, candids, posed, emotions & special moments. Must be willing to share photos and 300 DPI resolution is required.

Race Marshall (14)

Ages 14+. Work in pairs to direct/keep runners on trail. bring attention to turns on course. Must check in at 8:15, ask for Carol Jones. Adults preferred, or responsible teens. Must be able to stand on trail for duration & keep eye on participants.

Set up cups of water, keep cups filled, distribute water to participants, clean up cups, break down water station during race.

Set up baskets and auction items, oversee prize area.

Ice Cream Sales (2)

Must be 14 or older. Abbot's Frozen Custard of Hilton is providing us with a freezer full of novelty ice cream treats. We need two people to sell treats, make change, keep track of sales.

Cheering Committee (20)

We need dozens of loud and energetic voices to cheer participants at the finish line. Please make/bring signs, noise makers, etc.

 

Finish Line Water Help (8)

Pass out bottled water to runners, collect bottles for recycling when finished, as needed.

 

Race Day Set-up (15)

Help set up tents, snacks, tables, water station on course, etc.
