DHA One Health Delaware

Our mission is to take Delaware Humane Association’s “Friends for Life” motto to the next level and provide care for underserved pets in Delaware with a One Health concept.

The goals of this project are broad reaching.  First is to provide veterinary care to the forgotten and overlooked of our region.  Next is to create opportunities for their human caregivers to seek more frequent healthcare for themselves.  All this while establishing unique educational opportunities for undergraduate and veterinary school student volunteers.  Last but not least, success of One Health Delaware would help all of DHA’s rescued animals, and create a framework for the future of One Health Initiatives in the state of Delaware and beyond.

The location of the project is at Henrietta Johnson Medical Center (HJMC), 601 New Castle Ave, Wilmington, DE 19801

***Monetary donations*** may be made directly at: https://delawarehumane.org/donate/donate-now/ and enter One Health Delaware in the Comments. Donated supplies may be dropped off directly at DHA, 701 A St, Wilmington, DE 19801, or pick up can be arranged.
