Thank you for considering to volunteer for Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity!
When Signing Up for Construction Volunteer:
Please pay particular attention to the day, time and location while choosing a volunteer position. We are building in multiple locations. Please select the day and time for your volunteer selection. If you are signing up a group include your group name (church, buisness etc) and the number of volunteers.
We try to maintain a stable build schedule but we may have to change or cancel due to circumstances out of our control. Flexibility is very important. Please include the best phone number and email so we can contact you if the schedule changes. If you have any questions you may contact Jodi Beach @ 507-403-7868 or [email protected]
After Signing up to Volunteer:
All volunteers will need a Release and Waiver signed once in a calendar year. All minor volunteers under the age of 18 and over the age of 16 will need a Release and Waiver signed by a parent/gaurdian BEFORE they can volunteer on the construction site. For safety reason we cannont allow minors under the age of 16 volunteer at the site.
All volunteers need to watch the SAFETY VIDEO before arriving at the site.
Arriving at the Site:
When you arrive at the site you will be asked to sign in on the Volunteer Sign In Sheet. Release and Waivers will need to be completed if you have not done so. Our Construction Supervisor will greet you and go over the construction tasks for the day.
Please bring your own water bottles, snacks and work gloves if you have them. Goodhue Habitat for Humanity will provide all neccessary equipment and supplies. If you are working an 8 hour day, lunch maybe provided. If you would like to provide lunch for your group, please contact Jodi Beach.
Habitat for Humanity strives to be good neighbors. Please do not park in front of mailboxes or block driveways.
Thank you for volunteering for Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity. Together we are building strength, self-reliance and stability through shelter!
