We would love for you to join our AOO family.  Whether you want to get started in exploring your gifts in the art of musical theatre or you desire to develop your skillset? We offer classes for all ages and levels of experience. 

In both Age Group Classes you can choose to sign up for Mock Audition feedback or just observe the Mock Auditions.  Either way the information you will walk away with will equip you to go into an audition like a pro!

Silver Class: (Ages 5-13)

Just Getting Started and Younger Students:

Sunday’s:  March 10th, 17th, 24th 2:00-5:00pm

Monday’s: March 11th, 18th, 25th, April 1st 5:00-7:00pm

Music taught by Lena Boyd, Dance taught by Mallory Mundy and Acting taught by Angie Dee, Ashley Baker and Brett Estenoz.  Learn all the components to being a triple threat. Your child will have the opportunity to learn audition skills and the foundational tools to build confidence as they grow. Your child will learn and perform Two Ensemble Musical Numbers:  Shrek Jr. and/or Matilda

(Younger Silver Class Members who are advanced and want to audition for a Solo will need to stay selected Sunday Dates till 8:00pm)

Gold Class: (14-Adult)

Intermediate and Advanced

Sunday’s:  March 10th, 17th, 24th 2:00-8:00pm

Monday’s: March 11th, 18th, 25th, April 1st 5:00-9:00pm

Taking it to the next level…  We will broaden and challenge your skill set and create depth in your acting choices.  Acting, taught by Angie Dee, is first in everything you do in Musical Theatre.  Learn how to so script analysis, character development, intent, motivation and the moment before. The 3 Techniques of Acting:  Audition - Rehearsal – Performance   Work with the Pros!

Dance: Learn advanced choreography from Broadway Shows and perform in the showcase. Choreography taught by Mallory Mundy

Vocalization:  Rate, Inflection, Pitch, Dynamics will be covered in both dialogue and musical numbers.  Music taught by: Dr. John Ray

Each Group will be performing SHOWSTOPPERS on Monday, April 1st at 7:00pm on the main stage of the breathtaking Capitol Theatre. 

 

Sign up to do a Mock Audition or just observe auditions. Solo Acts are chosen from auditions but everyone will perform in a Broadway Musical Showcase at the end of the class. Two Ensemble Showstoppers Numbers plus monologue opportunities for each student.  Solos and Duets will be chosen from Mock Auditions.

 

In addition to Showstoppers Showcase…Advanced Students may be selected to perform in any or all of the following events:
