2018-2019 Parent Volunteer Opportunities

The signup list below includes the volunteer opportunities at various times throughout the school year.  Each family must complete 30 volunteer hours per year.  Each family is reminded that 3 hours (of the required 30) are mandatory to the Parish Ball. Kindly note that a separate Sign Up Genius will be published specifically for Parish Ball and Jog-a-thon Opportunities. 

The event Chair will contact volunteers to finalize dates, times and responsibilities.

Help with various tasks, as needed, including set up, serving, and clean up.

Help set up, take down and sell books at the Book Fair. Book Fair set up, take down and sales takes place around Oct/Nov 2017.

 

Career Day Escorts (6)

Escorts the career day speakers from arrival to departure.

 

Career Day Luncheon Volunteers (Chair- Shawna Wiseman) (6)

Help plan, setup, decorate, serve and tear down career day snacks and luncheon for the speakers and escorts. Career day is during Catholic Schools week.

 

Career Day Speakers (Chair- Lauren Schuchman)

Speak and present about a career to the student on Career Day. Career Day takes place during Catholic Schools week.

 

Christmas Program Class Coordinator. Chair - Jenny Lenz ( Grade K)

Teach your class some light choreography Coordinate stage props and costumes if needed Help the teacher out on show night Attend a couple Christmas Progroma committee meetings Practices start mid November (approx 4 weeks) and take place during music class

class photographer will take pictures of assigned classes at events such as GTA, Jog-a-thon, Halloween etc. Full list of events will be provided. Photos must be uploaded to the New St. Anastasia photo site within 2 weeks of the event.

 

Dancing and Dessert Volunteers Chairperson OPEN (May) (10)

Year end party. Assist with set up, clean up, contact vendor- dessert, dj and various other tasks.

 

Emergency Preparedness Volunteers (Chair- Tony & Julie Zaller) (10)

Opportunities to help throughout the school year with inventory, organizing, rotating supplies and updating directions. Can be done during or after school. Very flexible hours. Please specify if you are available mornings, afternoon or weekends

 

eScrip/Grocery Store Community Partners Chair

Sign up as Chair with eScrip/benefit mobil. Provide families information and passwords. Remind parents via email to register credit cards, go through the scrip online mail and benefit mobil to earn money for St. A's while shopping.

 

Faculty and Staff Appreciation Lunch Volunteers (January) (Chair- Shawna Wiseman) (10)

Help plan, set up, decorate, serve and tear down lunch for the school faculty.

Fourth of July Volunteers 2018 (Chairs- Michaela Sozio & Victoria Ghobrial) (15)

Help with tasks as needed, including contributing to the float, coordinating volunteers, and/or being responsible for certain tasks on the day of the parade.

 

Golf Tournament Co Chair OPEN

Looking for a second chair for Annual Golf Tournament. This event will now be in the Spring time. Great opportunity to make this event a signature St. A's event!

 

Golf Tournament Volunteers (Co Chair- Eric Helmstetter Second Co-Chair OPEN) (15)

Great fundraiser and social event for the school. Tournament and dinner are run jointly with the Parish Men's Club and the PTO.

 

Grant Writer Volunteer (Chair- Paula Sandoval) (2)

Help chair write grants for our school to receive compensation in areas such as tuition assistance, scholarships, technology programs, staff development and performing arts.

 

Health Examinations Volunteers (Chair-Sharon Doggett) (12)

Help throughout the school year, as needed, with health and wellness screenings. Must be available during school hours

 

K-3 Talent Show Volunteers (October or March) (Chairs- Chris & Teresa Lehr) (6)

Date is usually end of Oct/beginning Nov. Help with sound/microphone and background set up, assisting the children with the dress rehearsal and Show itself.

Parish Hall Scheduling Chair NEEDED

Keeps an accurate online calendar to book Parish Hall as a venue for various programs and events. All work can be done remotely and online.

 

Parish Picnic Chairperson Position OPEN (2)

Parish Picnic will be held in mid October. This can be one person or two chairs. The chairs are responsible for organizing details, creating shifts and delegating to volunteers.

Recycling Ink Toner Chair

Responsible for inviting families to bring used ink cartridges, toner cartridges, and cell phones. The school earns supplies including reams of paper for this recycling effort.

 

School Office Volunteers: Friday 10:30am -12:15pm (4)

Work in the school office on various tasks including assisting with admin tasks, attendance and health room duties. Volunteers will be contacted by Mrs. Lance.

Families from the school and parish are invited to support the school with a financial donation. Responsible for providing an update to the parish on its activities and successes through the Mass announcements and bulletin articles or inserts.

 

See's Candy Volunteers (Chairs- Mary Paquin & Patty Wiacek) (4)

Sees Candies sales take place twice a year- Christmas and Spring. Volunteers are needed to help with the distribution of the candy.
