Chinese Lantern Festival (The Wild)
The Chinese Lantern Festival, coming to the Huntsville Botanical Garden from March 20 - May 21, 2019, is appropriately nicknamed "The Wild". It will feature 1,000 illuminated lanterns of wildlife from around the world (and dinosaurs). There will be live Kung Fu performances, shadow play puppet shows and a Chinese folk art marketplace.
We need your help to make the magic happen. Approximately 35 volunteers, ages 16 and up, are needed each night to help with parking, welcoming guests, helping in the gift shop, answering phones, as volunteer leads and other hospitality positions.
Volunteers will receive a complimentary admission to the Festival for each three shifts they complete, as well as, a 20% discount coupon for the Garden Gift Shop and access to beverages, snacks and more in the Volunteer Hospitality Suite. Volunteers should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled shift each night, rain or shine, and an extra 15 minutes before their first night's shift for training/orientation.
Thank you for your support in bringing "The Wild" to the Huntsville Botanical Garden!
