GMHA Competitive & Pleasure Trail Volunteers
25- and 15-Mile Competitive Trail Ride & Drive
Saturday, June 8
The first day of the weekend is an ECTRA-sanctioned competitive trail ride and drive. Learn more about the sport at www.ectra.org. There will be 25- and 15-mile divisions. The day starts early, with breakfast at 5:30 and riders starting at 6:30am. Volunteers are needed for the pre-ride vetting on Friday, June 7 and all day on Saturday, June 8 to serve as timers, scribes, stewards, pulse/respiration takers and more.
50-Mile Endurance, 25-Mile Limited Distance Endurance & 15-Mile Endurance Introductory Ride
Sunday, June 9
This one day event takes place on the second day of the weekend. It is an AERC and ECTRA-sanctioned endurance ride. Learn more about the sport at www.aerc.org. There will be 50- and 25-mile divisions. There will also be a 15-Mile Introductory Ride for new riders. The ride begins on Saturday, June 8, with vetting in the early evening. Volunteers are needed to serve as scribes for the vetting. Dinner will be provided. The ride day starts early, with breakfast at 6am and the 50-mile starting at 7am. Volunteers are needed to serve as timers, scribes, pulse/respiration takers and more.
All of our event day volunteers receive breakfast and/or lunch depending on your shift. Very few tasks require prior experience. We will train you!
