Over The Edge - Volunteer Sign Up 2022

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Over the Edge for Kids’ Sake! Big Brothers Big Sisters is excited to be hosting this amazing fundraiser for the 5th year in Davenport, Iowa, on August 26-27. This exciting event raises important dollars for youth mentoring in the QCA.

Over the course of two days, there are a number of volunteer roles available to welcome, support, and assist over 100 couragous volunteers rappel 11 stories down the Hotel Blackhawk (200 E. 3rd Street). Below is an outline of opportunities available, ranging from registration, staging, escorts, announcers, and hospitality. Please sign up below for a timeframe that works best for you. If your plans should change, return to this site to update your availability.

WANT TO BE A ROPE VOLUNTEER? There are limited spots (with opportunity for a FREE rappel) to serve as rope volunteers and work with Over the Edge's technical staff on event days. Although individuals with experience working with rope is preferred (climbers, cavers, firefighters, SWAT, etc.) becoming a rope volunteer is open to anyone who is enthusiastic and safety conscious mindsets.  Required training will be provided on Friday, August 26 from 1-4 p.m.
