CI Hot Lunch
NEW THIS YEAR - VOLUNTEERS WILL be on THURSDAYS only this year. We will also need volunteers on the first day of food service, Tuesday, August 28.
Thanks to the continued ease of Marla’s Lunch program, we will only need volunteers on a limited basis based on the support needed to organize the food. Because of the limited spots, we ask that you only sign up for one spot to give all parents an opportunity. If spots are not filled, we will reach out for additional support. Volunteer days will be on Thursday, so please keep this in mind as you sign up for volunteering.
When you get to the school, simply tell Marla’s representative which area you would like to work in. (2nd & 3rd graders eat downstairs and 1st & 4th graders eat upstairs). She can cover either area or float between the two lunch areas throughout the lunch period to lend support and help with any questions or lunch issues. You will set up the tables for each lunch shift, organize the lunches according to the teacher & the children will take their lunch with their name on it. Each lunch is individually labeled and packaged with each child’s name and teacher - you are there to help the kids take the correct lunch & have fun!
You will receive a reminder email 4 days prior to your shift. If you are unable to make the shift please find a replacement and either update the system or call/text Khalid Ghantous 312.446.8333 or Suzy Eilers 847.778.2004.
If you are running late, please call Christine Demas-Hall at the front desk so she can alert Marla’s representative.
Please make sure if you use the SIGN UP Genius calendar function that ALL the dates you signed up for get imported.
