The Carmel Bach Festival hosts many chamber concerts throughout the month of July across the Monterey Peninsula. These concerts are typically around an hour, making your shift short and sweet. The role of an usher is to work directly with House Manager to ensure our patrons enter and exit the venue safely, cater to any special seating needs, and seat all patrons in a timely manner. Duties include, but are not limited to, operating ticket scanners, handing out programs, greeting patrons, helping patrons find their assigned seats, assisting with late seating, assisting with emergency protocol as directed, and more. The House Manager on duty will be in charge of your shift and is your resource for any questions or concerns.
Requirements: You must be able to stand for long periods of time, have exemplary interpersonal skills, be flexible, adaptive and friendly and, most importantly, able to follow directions at a moment’s notice to a patron need and/or emergency.
Attire:For women: ankle-length black pants or knee-length or longer skirt and blouse/nice top. If needed, accompany your outfit with a black jacket or sweater. For men: black pants and white buttoned dress shirt with a tie. If needed, accompany your outfit with a black jacket or sweater.
