Nearly 1 million children in Georgia schools are eligible to receive free or reduced-price breakfast & lunch, a crucial meal that disappears in the summer and school breaks. Smart Lunch, Smart Kid, through the dedication of thousands of volunteers and donors, insures that these children are fed. We will be preparing lunches for the children in the community May 28th – August 3rd . Unlike other feeding programs, we take the food to the children in their neighborhoods, removing the barrier of lack of transportation.
We need individuals to purchase, prepare and deliver the lunches to the community. We need 2 adult volunteers on site each day to serve the lunches. We need 35 lunches each day of the week. We serve the lunches in the leasing office. Contact is Nancy.
